He is classy, he is smart, he is kind, and I have never had anyone give me such a precision cut as Mark does in order to assure my hair is equally cut :no one side being shorter than the other as so many of us have experienced! I have curly hair and Mark does not pull my hair tight when he cuts it. He allows for ease so that it won't shrink up beyond our goals when it's dry .Mark reminds me of my beloved hairdresser David from Cortona, Italy- except Mark speaks English. Mark's beautiful private Salon assures that you are his only client so he can focus totally on you. I love this! Mark & his salon in Dripping Springs are absolutely first class, five star, 10 out of 10 . My curly hair has become rather thin lately, but Mark knows how to maximize every strand so it looks thicker. When I walk into his salon compared to when I walk out -I look & feel so much better. “Oh my gosh!!! I've lived in Austin for 25 years and have lost count of how many stylists I've tried. Xavier had great reviews and is within a short drive from my home. So, I held my breath and scheduled an appointment. I'm 72, have naturally-colored, grey hair, and wanted it layered. It's difficult to find a stylist who can do a decent layered cut. But, Xavier hit the mark. He is a scissors, brush, and dryer wizard. We spoke until he was sure he knew exactly the results I wanted. He definitely delivered. No more bad hair days for me!!! In the morning, I simply fluff up my hair then run my fingers through it to make my style spring back to life. Within 10 minutes it's dried and styled....no brush needed. I simply sweep the dryer over my hair with the concentrator nozzle in the direction I want it to fall. No product is needed to keep it in place. My visit with Xavier was extremely enjoyable because he's such a vibrant, engaging person. We chatted away the entire time I was sitting in his chair. It was so relaxing to be in a private room where I wasn't forced to listen to multiple conversations and dryers blasting. Xavier even has the courtesy to silence the ringer on his phone. “I've gotten my eyebrows waxed here, a haircut, and a perm. The hairstylists I've met are very friendly and easy to get along with. The business is spotless and well-organized. They serve smoothies and pastries, and are delivered to your room, so while your hair is getting cut, you can get your drink/food, and it's pretty awesome. Prices aren't overly expensive, and they vary for each stylist. Products are available to buy at the front; they also sell clothes and jewelry. Very cute salon. I only had one bad experience, and that was with my haircut. It was so horrible, I buzzed it off when I got home. However, it was my fault for not speaking up. So I will take accountability. But she should've seen the pictures I gave her and followed them instead of doing her own thing. I believe her name was Sabine? Disappointing, she was pretty nice. But she gave me a very feminine haircut as a guy. Not that hard to mess up.“
