We visited here with modest expectations but we were very pleasantly surprised. The golf course was in immaculate condition. As nice as any we've played in Texas. The two of us stayed in a Getaway Suite overlooking the ninth green which was more than adequate. Food was good, service was good, pool is in good shape, all the paving was new throughout the facility, basketball, tennis, driving range, all great. You have to remember this place is 75+ years old. A lot of the buildings are older but the ownership is clearly reinvesting their profits into improvements. Nearby Bandera is lots of fun. We can't wait to go back.
The Flying L is a holiday resort in Bandera. We stayed in a log cabin for 3 nights. Anyone who can beat the Köimaanlage will have a lot of fun here. At 30°C night temperatures we only get a little of it.
The location is perfect as a starting point for many activities.
Head out early in the morning to explore and relax in the pee-warm pool in the afternoon.
I recommend a Nesich of the OST restaurant in Bandera to everyone. Also for breakfast.

Loved our stay here. Plenty of great facilities to use, swimming pool, putt putt, table tennis, tennis. Just a few that we used on our stay. The staff are all super friendly and helpful and the on site restaurant serves some tasty food.
Side note, the rooms are a little older but it adds to the atmosphere. We stayed in number 45 and the roof fan in the second room rattled a bit too much so couldn’t use the high setting and the bed is super squeaky but outside of that our stay was still worthy of a five star.
