My 5-year-old son, Leo, has been attending US Taekwondo for over a year now, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From day one, the environment has been welcoming and supportive. Miss Shalene and Master Locket are exceptional instructors who are not only skilled in their craft but also incredibly patient and encouraging with the kids. Leo absolutely loves going to class, and we have seen tremendous growth in his confidence, discipline, and physical abilities. Master Lockett is a rare gem of a teacher, breaking down the basics and the "why" behind it, teaching with kindness, empathy and an open-mindedness that gives the student confidence and mental strength.
I've been attending classes for 4 months and I always leave at the end of the hour with a sense of achievement, feeling healthier mentally and with the attitude that I got this! (Black belt attitude!!!).
So without doubt, I would highly recommend this school for EVERYBODY, regardless of age, gender, level of fitness.

If you want your child to be trained in martial arts (and in life), this is the place. Master Lockett is a family man, a 6th degree black belt, and a leader not only in the dojang, but in the community. My son has earned a 2nd degree black belt under Master Lockett’s leadership. My son continues to train as a student, and now he trains as a leader, too. For advanced students, Master Lockett has a path to leadership, building a fantastic team of experts and contributing to the global positive impact for the practice of Taekwondo.
