Bert always does the freakin best tattoos!!! He's got a good eye and is a perfectionist ^.^ always feel so comfortable when getting tatted by him. I highly recommend True Blue, they've always been good to me!!
CUTEST LITTLE SHOP! I walked in without an appointment for matching tattoos for my friend's birthday (it was my surprise gift to her) and Bert was the perfect person for the job! Bert was very patient, funny, understanding, and most importantly did GREAT WORK! We loved the experience and now we will remember it for the rest of our lives. Thanks Bert and True Blue! <3
Wow! First want to say that I had a great experience and wanted to leave a good review but after reading the other reviews it seems like things are hit-and-miss at this Tattoo shop... So, I was fortunate to work with Nixie Vly... My situation was this: I have Never had a Tattoo and frankly never been interested until Recently since my life has changed... so, I'm not giving you the review from the point of view of an experienced tattooed or pierced person... I'm simply a 56 year old Engaged Male that is in Love and want to do something Crazy for once... my body was a blank canvas... I stayed overnight in this town on my way to Houston area and saw the Tattoo place across the parking lot... I walked in straight off the street with No Appointment at around Noon on a weekday... Nixie was the only one about and greeted me politely and with respect! She asked me what I was interested in and I told her I was crazy in Love and wanted to have a Tattoo of my fiancés Name... she is Vietnamese and name is short, "Hao" (how)... I told her since my first tattoo I was Leary about the pain level and she told me that for the most part "people tend to Overestimate the pain", and she was absolutely Right. For those who never had one it feels like someone picking at an open wound... more annoying than painful! Nixie helped choose the place on my body to put the tattoo... I knew enough about tattoos to Know I didn't want my first one on Bone... but it was Nixie that suggested "Well if it's your Lady's name then how about over your Heart"! SMART choice, both myself and my girl Love the result! The shop was clean and sterile or I would not have stayed... both Nixie and the shop have sort of Zen Vibe atmosphere and I liked that! Bottom line... Without an appointment I walked in, got a good tattoo that didn't bleed or run and healing pretty well, and was finished and back on the Highway driving in 60-90 minutes! That's a Great experience! Thank you Nixie!
