This was the only urgent care open at 10pm when my 5 yo daughter had fever, sore throat, headache, and trouble breathing. I am SO glad we went there. I cannot say enough great things about them. Check-in was smooth and fast, and it seemed like everyone working there greeted us or interacted with us in some way. The lobby was decorated with figurines of popular movie characters so my daughter was so distracted naming them all for me that she forgot how bad she was feeling! Once in the room, Dr. Quan was so professional yet gentle with her. Giving a 5 yo a strep and covid test is not an easy task but somehow he got her to do it so calmly. And she was ecstatic to get a purple popsicle for being so brave! She also got a couple small toys that made her feel so special! Dr. Quan was extremely knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I knew I could call back with any further questions. The people here went above and beyond and made what could have been a terrible night much less stressful and I went home with a happy girl!
This evening my 10 yoa son stepped on something sharp and sliced his foot open. Since it was a Sunday I called his pediatrician who recommended I take him to Texas Children's Urgent Care. The location closest to us is the one located at 4477 S. Lamar. I was greeted by Ryan (tech)upon our arrival. His demeanor and personality quickly put my son at ease, who was already pretty tense about getting stitches. He did a great job of cleaning and prepping, all with a smile and charm to keep my son calm. Kara was our nurse and she also brought a warm smile and conversation with my son. She stayed with us throughout the whole process making for a great experience. By the time we saw Dr. LeBeouf, I knew we were right where we needed to be. She quickly assessed the injury and stitched him up. My wife was also glad to hear she is a fellow Aggie alum! While I hope I don't need an urgent care facility for either of my children anytime soon, if I do I know where I would go. I would also recommend them for any parents that find themselves in need of one.
