I was given a completely different haircut than I asked for. It's not a bad haircut, but I get the impression that they only do very basic, traditional mens haircuts here. I had longer hair and wanted something shorter but not "traditionally masculine" and I used those words specifically.Well, I got a very typical mens cut! It is well done, and I'm going to make the best of it and it looks like it'll grow into the haircut I did want (with a little trimming from me as it grows out) but it is unfortunate that my stylist did not communicate that this is not something they do, and instead gave me a haircut i specifically did not ask for. I was way over due for a hair cut and kinda wanted to find a Barber at the last minute. I stumbled into their shop with no appointment but since they had a little extra time, they were more than happy to accommodate me. I believe Crystal was the young lady who cut my hair. She is a very talented Barber. Looking at my hair cut, it looks very sharp even and well faded. She's very hard working and will make sure you have a great hair cut.

I've been in Austin since 2018 and have had a lot of great haircuts from trendy spots like Birds and Barbons. Of all the places I've been to, I consistently get my best haircuts at Tarrytown Barber Shop. I've seen both Kat and Morgan and they're both super good.
