About [solidcore]
solidcore is a high-intensity workout studio that offers a unique resistance-training experience inspired by Pilates. Using their proprietary equipment, [sweatlana], the studio targets the upper body, lower body, and core, providing an effective workout that challenges and transforms the body. The class itself is intensive, and pacing can vary between instructors, which may make it feel frustrating for some clients. The studio is known for its energetic instructors, great music, and motivating environment, making it a fun and good workout overall. However, some reviews mention that the inconsistent counting during reps and the lack of modifications for body limitations or injuries can be issues. Additionally, the studio’s policy on ClassPass memberships and limited parking are seen as drawbacks. Despite these concerns, many clients appreciate the supportive atmosphere and have had very positive experiences, with some approaching 50 classes and praising the staff for their care and motivation.
I've been going to Solid Core twice a week for just over a year. I absolutely love the quality of the workout and the consistency of the instructors. The workout is intended to get you to muscle failure - so it's not easy. It's very fitness focused - not a place you hang out and socialize. (Although everyone is friendly and there is a good vibe) 50 minute class that really works multiple muscle groups. Instructors give you options and alternatives depending on your fitness level - so it's never 'one size fits all'. There is free parking. One lot is used for weekdays and a separate lot on weekends. Both are in close proximity to the studio.
SolidCore Pilates has been an amazing experience! The coaches are incredibly informative and always prioritize safety by asking about injuries before class. I really appreciate that they offer modifications for all exercises, which is so helpful whether you're new or working with an injury. Highly recommend!
The class itself is great but intensive. Pacing can be all over the place between instructors so it can feel frustrating where you feel like you can keep up with some classes but in others you’re struggling to keep up. For a class that’s based on counting seconds, it’s wild how inconsistent counts are and 10 seconds of a rep can feel like 20 or only 5. Worst part is how unfriendly they are to ClassPass members. Why bother the partnership if you’re going to gatekeep session slots and block ClassPass members from being able to sign up? I only ever see one time slot available every other day signing up through ClassPass.
