I have had 2 close family & friend's use them & very bad experience. I misdiagnosed an active tumor & the other was given too much chemo that killed them, not the stage 2 cancer. I wld never refer or use them.

Unbelievably unresponsive. Radiologist referred us to their social worker for counseling referral - left 3 voice mails ans 1 email - she never responded. Have been calling for 3 days trying to set followup appointment for brain scan - operator even 'escalated' the call today - still no call back. The last 2 days I've also been asking for a nurse to call since spouse took to bed, but no return call. General perception is none of them care about you. And these are Cancer doctors!

It's hard to write this review. There are so many good people at Texas Oncology on Balcones doing really vital work. My friend was cared for here through two rounds of breast cancer, the second of which killed her 6 months from diagnosis. I was her companion at all visits. I often felt her primary oncologist minimized her concerns and did not ask her questions with any interest in her answers. I was actively discouraged from advocating for her. Her primary oncologist was aloof and provided no easy way for me or my friend to contact her for information outside of appointments. When my friend inquired about second opinions her primary oncologist was defensive and unhelpful. After an ill-advised surgery that my friend's primary oncologist pushed my friend into triggered catastrophic tumor growth my friend was sent home to die with minimal support from Texas Oncology. After telling my friend to enter into hospice her primary oncologist never once checked to make sure she had the medical support and resources to die with dignity. I would never recommend this office to anyone attempting to survive a cancer diagnosis.
