Jimmy Clay Golf Course is a beautiful public course with a fun layout and a peaceful and inviting environment. The fairways are usually in good condition, and the greens are fair, though they may sometimes be a bit rough with spots of grass between burned-out sections and hard to get a decent lie. The course offers one of the best values in golf, with affordable buckets at the driving range. The staff at the shop are very friendly, and the personnel are great. Customers also note that the course is flat and has a link style. Rental clubs for left-handed golfers have been identified as needing improvement, and the course conditions were pretty terrible.

Very nice course! Very forgiving for the less experience player but still challenging for 80's range players. Greens are in excellent shape!! Very relaxing time! I did not have a tee time but got pared up in no time. Highly recommend playing!!

I just started golfing and from a beginner's perspective, I enjoy the golf course very much. The course and driving range are very green; you can tell that they maintain the course very well. Overall, it is a very peaceful and inviting environment. I have yet to play the course, but I enjoy practicing at the driving range and putting holes to practice chipping. The price of the buckets is very affordable, and the staff at the shop are very friendly. There are even deer!! I highly recommend it- I come here as often as I can!

Great staff and management.
I love the course and its sister course that shares the same parking lot and clubhouse. Clay is a woodsy, hilly course while Kizer is Austin’s closest thing to a links course, lots of sand and water with no trees on course. Great senior membership: just over $600 a year and $3 each time you play. Wow!
