This is like dog heaven for dogs who love to have supervised freedom to run, play, explore. I drive a half hour each way just so my dog can spend the day under trees, rolling in grass, having the company of other dogs (who have been carefully vetted by Michael, the owner), and getting out of the heat and into the air conditioning on her own through a doggie door. Michael Jennings is personable and has established rules and procedures that he sticks to fairly and that gives me peace of mind that my dog is safe and in good hands. I cannot say enough good things about this facility.
We love Green Acres Pet Ranch! We’ve been searching for years for a place for our beagles where he isn’t stuck in a kennel all day and instead on a property where he can play and have fun! We’ve done both daycare and boarding and have had a 10/10 experience with both. That’s exactly what the ranch is about. Michael is so meticulous about how well the dogs are taken care of, he really makes sure that everything is safe and fun for the dogs. We will be lifetime clients from now on!
If I could give Michael and Green Acres more stars I would. I'm new to the Austin area and had to go out of town for a work trip. Like most pet owners I'm always leery about leaving my pet when I have to travel but all those fears went out the window when I took my dog Bailey there to board her for the 1st time. Once you arrive, Michael greets you and your dog with a huge smile and a handshake (that's a becoming a rare trait nowadays), he spends a few minutes just talking / petting your dog, if everything is good he then will place your dog in the front yard to run around, maybe meet some of the other dogs but it's in a low stress situation. While that is going on he then does something that is huge in my book, he actually talks to you, "how have you been, where are you heading to, how about this weather" after about 5 minutes of this, it felt like I was leaving my dog with a good neighbor or a close friend (this is huge if you're like me and stress about leaving your pet). After about 15min it was time for me to leave but I had ZERO concerns about my dogs health or well being... I've boarded dogs and had horrible results, I've boarded dogs where it was a good service but it was very business like but hands down how Michael runs Green Acres is hands down the best experience I've used and I wouldn't think of going any other place to leave my dog and there is no doubt I would recommend them to anyone that asks....
