Overall, Esquina Tango is a lively place where people can learn, dance, and enjoy themselves in a supportive community.
It makes me incredibly happy that places like this still exist in Austin! I've been to Esquina Tango twice, for two different styles of dance, and I had an absolute blast both times. The energy from the instructors is unmatched and the environment is so welcoming! I highly recommend checking them out. There's so much that is offered at Esquina Tango, even Spanish language conversations for speakers of all proficiencies.
This place has me hooked in every which way. Just walking through the front door will brighten your day. The instructors are brilliant, funny, and sweet. They'll turn you into a dancing pro, even if you have two left feet. I've tried salsa and bachata and it was the best. I even took my parents and put their skills to the test. It's fun all around, I promise you this. Now dance this way, this is something you don't want to miss!! Thanks yalll!! MWAH
Esquina tango is one of my favorite places to go for dance classes, I'm usually there at least once a week. If you haven't been, your first class is free! So you might as well try something new. They also have a great deal on your first month unlimited classes, and different amounts of class passes. totally affordable, they are a nonprofit organization (and do take donation ;-)). Alfonsos Afro-Cuban classes are amazing. I love the Samba classes here. Reggaeton with Kittie is so Fempowering! and of course, tango! There's kizomba, bachata, salsa, Cumbia, and probably more that I can't think of right now. Whether it's a class or just heading there for a social, it has always been a good time. Definitely go check it out. They have some parking spots available, but street parking has never been an issue, I'm pretty sure the building is a converted church in the middle of an East Austin neighborhood and I find it to be very charming.
