We’re so happy to have found empowered beginnings! We worked with Kim and our experience was fantastic. Kim was encouraging, attentive and listened to all of our birth/provider concerns. She never once pressured us in any way and was truly there to listen, provide information and support us. Once my labor started, she was responsive, prompt, caring and really just took such amazing care of me (and my husband!). Also- Ciarra is incredible. She spent a lot of time with me before I signed to talk through all the options I had, concerns I had with my birth/provider, and was honest and patient while I worked through what my next steps could look like. We had Amanda as our Doula and it was an incredible experience. She was prompt, responsible, organized, and very generous with her time and energy. She was a very helpful guide in my first birth and I had a very positive birth experience. She helped me navigate my options when we had an unexpectedly had to have an induction and was a huge support during labor itself. We knew my husband was not going to be the most hands-on support person during labor (more of an emotional support guy) so I wanted someone who really knew how and when to offer hip squeezes, positions to labor in, back massages, etc. Amanda was so kind and intuitive, she was just what I was looking for!
Rock solid! From start to finish, working with Empowered was easy and straightforward. We met wiht several doulas and chose Amanda to work with. She was so caring and professional, diligent in her follow up, and wonderful to both prepare, deliver, and debrief with. I say this as a significant other coordinating with her day-of.
I can say, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that our delivery was better for Amanda's help. Bonus points: she even makes her own handouts!!! Highly recommend.
