The salon's energetic vibe includes colorful interactions, with interesting local characters adding to the experience. Many clients leave not only with beautiful hair and nails but also with new networking opportunities and connections.
Nail tech took a hour and 45 mins to do my nails. I got short square and simple. No color.
The place is extremely out dated. Some new paint on the walls will go a long way along with some new pictures and plants.
The nail techs were very short and forward with customers. When I said thank you I didn't even get a your welcome.
Def don't like the vibes here at all. The only good thing about the place is its location. Nothing else.
Whew, where to start lol! I've never had my hair braided before. Box braids were trending and my friend told me "omg omg you should get braids!" At first I thought 'there is no way I'm about to sit for 200 hours for some braids'. After being chastised by her I decided to just do it. I called and scheduled an appointment with the place she suggested. When I got there I was introduced to the woman doing my hair. She introduced herself as "Binky Aquafina". I immediately knew I was in the right place. For those who don't understand- if I would've walked in and been met by Stacy or something I would've cancelled. I needed the "black girl magic" energy- I wasn't trying to get a French braid. Lol! She was incredibly fast and the people I met during this process were extremely colorful. Maybe that's an understatement. Lol. I met about 100 street salesmen. I was offered a selection of perfume oil (Macy's...count your days...) A man by the name of Pookie gave me his business card for car detailing services and on the back it read *Street Star*. A nice gentleman who wore some sort of new age cologne (Christian Dior Cannabis Flower I think but can't quite recall) offered me credit repair services and so forth. I left with a head full of braids which I absolutely loved and a pocket full of business cards. Great networking here!
The guy doesn't follow directions. I got a pedicure and asked for two different colors one for just an accent. He only gave me one. I got the princess jasmine gel which is lovely. Wasn't exactly what I wanted but still overall okay job.
