I don't understand why the star rating is so low. I took my children to this doctor's office, and it was one of the best. That was years ago, though. Has service gone down?
As a former medical professional, I was blown away by how sweet and caring all the staff were when we came in for treatment for our toddler son. He was short of breath & panting, coughing, and with fever (even though of course he was playing and acting like nothing was wrong). The staff were amazing with him, and tried their best to get his oxygen levels up before potentially sending us off to the ER. Luckily he responded well to the in office treatments and we were able to take him home with orders for medicine and instructions that if he gets bad again to please go to the ER. Thankfully, he's done so much better and I can't thank the staff at the urgent care here enough...read full review
I am nothing but pleased with UTMB Alvin. Everyone was friendly. I got in faster than I ever have at any other doctor's office. Dr. Dhamotharan was wonderful. She listened to my concerns and made me feel like she genuinely cared. I love that they do bloowork in house. I got some of my results in less than 24 hours! I'm a very happy first time patient and will absolutely continue with Dr. Dhamotharan.
