Dr. Hale and his team are great, but I had a scheduled appointment with Alisha at 8:30 am, and I waited about 40-45 minutes for her because she was helping 2 other customers pick out frames. My appointment was only for her to give me my new glasses, which took 2 minutes or less. It seems there could be a much better system where she could have stepped away from her other 2 customers for 2 minutes to give me my glasses while they were looking at frames, instead of leaving me to wait over 40 minutes.

I’ve debated posting a review for months, what’s the point, they don’t respond to them anyway. I’ve been going to eyes on the mountain for years and I like Dr Hale but I am NOT a fan of his practice manager. My insurance company changed this year and it is no longer one that they except but I was welcome to submit on my own and happy to do so. The problem with that is, they don’t give you itemized receipts, only a payment receipt. I asked for one at my appointment and the PM said she’d email it to me, that didn’t happen. I’ve called, I’ve left messages and even emailed and have not gotten even a response let alone a receipt that I’m able to submit. I can’t submit to my insurance with just a credit card receipt and she knows that so I’m out $400! That’s unacceptable. I’ve done her job before, I know how easy it is to print off and give to a client. I’m sad to say that I’ll be looking for a new eye doctor next year, regardless if my insurance company is one they accept.

My entire family and many friends I have referred over the years all agree…they are the best of the best! In fact, I just nominated them for this Chattanooga award. Full service eye exams and a great selection of eyewear-one stop shopping!

Our family of 5 have been patients of Dr. Hale for close to 10yrs. We have NEVER been disappointed in the care we have received. Our experience has been that Dr. Hale and his staff go above and beyond for their patients. When our daughter had an eye "emergency" it only took a call to the office and they were able to get her in and treat her. This same child has a history of eye issues (infections, scratches etc) and we have always been impressed with the response we have received. I want to add that we do not have vision insurance so I can ASSURE you that if we felt like this practice was anything less than THE BEST. We would go elsewhere. As it stands, we happily pay Dr. Hale and the Staff at Eyes On The Mountain for their knowledge, compassion and service!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hale for about 5 years now and I have to admit, he’s been the first eye Dr I’ve stood with consistently! He is very knowledgeable, patient, kind, and super talkative! (Makes me forget I walked in nervous) lol. Mandie definitely makes you feel welcomed and helps you through anything. She’s a sweet soul! The selection of glasses is amazing! So many to choose from. Styles, brands, color, sizes to fit different faces, etc. The optician is definitely knowledgeable, she explains everything so thorough! I have a hard time choosing anything for myself, so she always helps me pick a frame that compliments ME! Thanks to Dr. Hale, Mandy and Alisha for always making my family and I always feel welcomed and appreciated.
