Kept my dog for 3 days. He was bad sick. Only thing they did was give him 3 shots. Didn't let him out to use the bathroom but twice a day

Staff is friendly. Vets seem to care and recommend the best solution for your pets. Prices are very reasonable.
**Update - they just lost a client. Misty is a very rude, uncaring person. She has zero customer service skills and is terrible at explaining things. They've had my dog who passed for 5 days and didn't contact the crematorium until this morning! I have no issue with the vets or Taya. But Misty just lost them my future business!! **

I can't say enough great things about this office! Knowledgable vets, everyone in the office goes the extra mile for their patients. Affordable prices. I highly recommend taking your furry loved ones to Rogersville Animal Hospital!.

Our family has been going to Rogersville Animal Hospital for nearly 18 years. They are kind, caring people who really seem to want to help animals. When my childhood cat needed help passing on, they were so kind and compassionate and let us have all the time we needed before and after her passing. Their prices are very reasonable (though they have gone up over the years) and the vets usually give multiple treatment options without judgement. During COVID, they began allowing people to wait in their cars as an option and have continued to do so.
However, their front office is a complete disaster. They no longer take appointments and reduced their hours on Wednesday. They also close for an hour at lunch each day, making it inconvenient to pick up prescriptions/food for people who work during traditional business hours. You have a 50/50 chance of actually getting through anytime you call, with no answering system or voicemail available. The receptionists are often short and unhelpful both over the phone and in-person. With no appointments, you have to arrive at 8:30 am or 1:00 pm to wait for the door to open (usually with a dozen other folks). Then you spend the next 1-4 hours waiting to be seen in a small, dirty waiting room with four uncomfortable benches as the only seating options unless you wait in your car. Arrive any later and you risk being turned away as they only take a certain number of animals each morning/afternoon.
At our most recent visit, the staff apparently flipped the pile of registrations and called the latest arrivals first. The people who checked in ahead of us were still waiting to be seen when we left. They also don't seem to prioritize based on sickness/degree of sickness vs well-visit animals (not that we would have been at the head of the line).
While I feel very appreciative to the staff at Rogersville Animal Hospital, it continues to become more and more inconvenient to bring my animals here. I have begun looking for other providers, but I keep holding out hope that things will change.

I love Dr. Slaughter and his staff! I’ve never had a bad experience here and it’s very affordable. Every time we go, they love on my dogs like they are their own. If you are a walk-in, be sure to get there early and get in line because everyone around here knows they are the best around.

We have taken our pets there for years and have always been happy with them. Dr. Slaughter and his associates are very friendly and knowledgeable. They always tell us what we need to do to help our fur babies. I also like that they give us enough details to help us decide whether or not a certain test or procedure is needed.
