“After a bad experience else where, I took my 3-year-old son to Elusive Barbershop in Mount Juliet for his third haircut ever. What a fantastic find!
The shop is beautiful — clean, stylish, with plants and great music. I got the owner, Anas, who was excellent with my son. He was gentle, attentive, and did a perfect job. My little guy wore the fun Joker cape and sat like a champ with zero tears.
No dedicated kids’ salon in Mount Juliet, so I’m thrilled we found this place. Highly recommend Elusive Barbershop (and Anas) to all boy moms. We’ll definitely be back!

“I visited Boulevard Barber & Style today for a haircut. The sign clearly said “walk-ins are welcome,” so I went in and sat down. However, no one acknowledged me. After waiting for a while, another gentleman walked in after me, and a barber immediately started cutting his hair.

At that moment, I felt uncomfortable and disappointed. As someone from another country, it made me wonder if I was being treated differently based on my background. I got frustrated and decided to leave.

As I was heading out, one of the barbers stopped me and asked why I was leaving. I explained the situation. He asked if I had an appointment, and I said no. He then told me I was actually next, which convinced me to come back in.

While I was returning, I overheard the barber who had taken the other customer mention he had another appointment coming up. That made me feel like he was intentionally avoiding taking me as a customer. Thankfully, another barber stepped in and offered to take care of me.

Derriance Hughes ended up doing my haircut and beard trim, and I have to say—he did an excellent job. I was very satisfied with the result. He was professional, attentive, and delivered exactly what I wanted.

Going forward, I will return to this shop only if Derriance is available. I’ve taken his contact and will book appointments directly with him to avoid confusion.

“My husband and I really love the old feel that this place brought. We spent time looking and admiring the things that we grew up with. Also Lawrence was such a kind person. He talked to my husband and made him feel comfortable. We were pleased with the results. I hate we had to rush and not have the opportunity to get his beard done due to reservations but we have definitely found a barber for my husband and our son. Thank you Lawrence.“
