“Delanie and Allison are the best! They were so friendly and helpful and did everything they could to help make things right. I came in to the Oak Ridge location for help b/c STC unfroze my account unbeknownst to me and used up all of my freeze credits to pay for July's monthly membership, that I didn't even know I had until my bank account was charged for the month of August!! These two did everything in their power to try to make it right and their customer service was on point! They were amazing!! Thank you ladies for being great and turning a terrible experience into the best you could have. You all are great!!
However, STC as a company needs to do better. A simple email or notification stating that my account was about to no longer be frozen would have been nice. It's shady business practice to take people's credits and money without notification and then when you're called on it refusing to refund it or make it right!! Do better!! It's a shame because I've been a long time customer and I honestly don't know if I'll keep my account after I finish out the month that I'm now being forced to keep because I already paid for it, and not by choice I might add.
Edit: STC emailed me back and they are going to refund my freeze credits and provide a glow card for the fees they took out of my bank account, which is basically a gift card that I can spend at STC, that is the closest thing to a refund that I will get for the monthly fees that were taken from my bank account, but I will settle for that I guess. Just be careful with what you sign, read the fine print and know that you can only freeze your account for a year at a time or they will start automatically charging you again WITHOUT NOTICE if you don't refreeze.“
