Five Rivers Pet Emergency Hospital

We were visiting Sevierville and had an emergency with our boxer. Dr. Zeise was the most comprehensive, thorough and compassionate Veterinarian we have found when traveling. Excellent service at Five Rivers Pet Emergency Hospital.

I had a fantastic experience at Five Rivers! I pulled into the parking lot and somebody was already on their way to my vehicle to ask what they could do for me! I had two sweet ladies both named Megan that kept coming back to give me updates on how things were going with my pet! It’s such a difficult process to put your pet’s life in someone else’s hands, but I would trust these ladies at Five Rivers time and time again. They were so nice and made the process so seamless! You can really tell that they love their jobs and truly care for your pets!

All the staff were very kind and helpful. They seem to truly care about the wellbeing of your pets. I am thankful to have both my fur babies back home and on the mend!

Took my baby here when he was having seizure like symptoms. They proceeded to take my dog in the back for 2 hours with no communication. Then told me there was nothing wrong with them, and if they wanted to run blood work, it would cost me $1500. Absolutely would not recommend to nobody take your dog to your normal vet if possible.

They were quick, efficient and kept me informed every step of the way. We are lucky to have them in the area.

LONG REVIEW. wow!!!!!!! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place and all of their employees. The other night, my dog unfortunately got attacked and needed urgent care for her wounds, since it was 9:30pm, everywhere was closed aside from Five Rivers so I called them and asked them what the process was before I drove(40min) there. The lady on the phone, her name is Renae, kept her composure and spoke very kindly and with care telling me what to do when i got there. I had never been there before and didn’t know what to expect, i was in mom mode and didn’t have time to look at reviews before i got there so i was just hoping for the best. I get there and didn’t get immediately seen which was fine because they had some animals in critical condition and fortunately, my dog was not, i say that to say Renae came out to our car multiple times to give me an update and let us know that they didn’t forget about us and told us why she couldn’t take my dog back yet. Then came time for them to take Paisley(my dog) back and she grabbed her carefully and assured me that they would keep me in the loop. After examining her, the main vet came to my car to update me on what they see and what process they want to take for taking care of my girl. The vet was so very kind and soft spoken and put me at ease leaving the care of my girl in their hands. They payed so much attention to Paisley and gave me updates on what she was doing while waiting to be seen. A couple hours later, they call me and tell me they finished the procedure, tell me what they did and what precautions i need to take and all the medications that they are going to give me for Paisley and then told me i was good to come back to pick her up and she was still so soft spoken through everything which just took all of my anxiety away. They took a very traumatic experience and turned that into peace, assuring me they were gonna care for my girl as if she were their own. I am incredibly impressed with this place and the way they treated my girl. I was more than confident that Paisley was in good hands and all of that was confirmed when I came to pick her up and she looked like she was at so much peace and comfort being with these strangers for the past couple hours. I owe these women my life for taking all of the stress off my hands, going above and beyond to ensure that Paisley will be so so taken care of. This experience with Five Rivers was absolutely incredible.

We have had to use Five Rivers three times now and out of all three times I have never had a complaint. They have always been compassionate, understanding, and gracious. Dr. Brown was our vet yesterday and without her knowledge, grace, and compassion I truly do not know whether my girl would still be here. Sometimes life is hard and puts us in terrible situations as pet owners and Dr. Brown went out of her way (emphasis on that part) to help ensure that my girl had every opportunity to get the care she needed. The way she helped us showed that she truly cares about her furry patients. Thanks to her, and the staff, my girl is not only at home but is healing. Thanks to Dr. Brown we didn’t have to make a hard choice prematurely. My girl is expected to make a full recovery and now I don’t have to grieve losing two of my girls on the same day. Forever thankful for Five Rivers and everyone we have ever had as our care team because their compassion, grace, and understanding every. Single. Time…because when we see them it’s never on happy terms but they have always genuinely cared for not only our babies but us and that’s something you can’t find an abundance of these days. Thanks for all you all do, you may feel under appreciated but just know there are people and families, like mine, that appreciate all you all do. You all have continuously left an lasting impact on us and in the worst of times we will always choose you!

We brought our dog in late during emergency hours after the stitches on her chin came completely open. They informed us over the phone that we would need to wait in the parking lot due to ongoing construction. As soon as we arrived, a staff member walked out to greet us. We asked them to check the wound to see if it required immediate care or if it could wait until the morning for her regular vet. They cleaned her up, added gauze to her cone, and reassured us that she was safe to wait. The staff was incredibly kind and provided such a positive experience. They even chose not to charge us since our pup didn’t require a full exam. Highly recommend this place! Very kind and thoughtful staff!

These people seem nice but didn’t do anything to help my little dog. How are you an emergency clinic and do not have equipment to treat patients.
