My whole experience with VEI was wonderful! After 2 other eye places would not do cataract surgery in their clinics because of my BMI and then took their time scheduling me in a hospital, Vandy did it!
Dr. Sheih took the time to listen to me and explained everything to me. Her aftercare instructions are very detailed and explains what different things I experience might be.
I do not agree with the negative reviews of Dr. Shieh.

I was recommended by 2 people to see Sean Donahue. I was told he was a genius, great doctor..and he very well may be but he has terrible bedside manner. My child has been seen by him twice, the second time he saw her - he didn’t even look at her eyes! Communication with him comes off condescending. Pushed for surgery with no other alternatives and little explanation as to why. Gaslit me on what was said during our first visit with him. As a parent, I need a doctor that can communicate with me, explain things I don’t understand, and make me feel secure with the decisions that are being made for my child.
