I am from Kansas City but my fiancé and I wanted a wedding in Nashville on June 24, 2022. I am 44 year old so I am not your typical bride. I wanted someone that understood that I didn’t want to be overdone with make up on my big day but still wanted to look beautiful. I reached out to Indigo Beauty Collective and set up a consult via zoom. The whole process was very easy and Indigo was very responsive. The make up artist/hair stylist I was paired with was Cat. From the moment that I started speaking with her I knew that I had made the right choice, even if we weren’t actually going to meet until the day of the wedding, she put all my worries at ease. Cat showed up promptly to my hotel and was ready to get started. I can't imagine a better hair and makeup artist to have for one's special occasion, especially one's wedding, than Cat. She was kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, artful, and a true professional. With her attention to detail and artistic touch, she made sure I looked like the best version of myself. I truly felt so beautiful but not overdone in any way, I don’t wear a lot of makeup typically and I never do fake eyelashes, Cat made sure that she did just the right amount of everything, so I still felt natural. Lastly, she also did my hair and she matched my pictures that I had given her 100%. My closest friends, family and especially my new husband were blown away by how amazing both my hair and make up were. It was 100 degrees on my wedding day and we had an outdoor ceremony and my hair and make up lasted the entire day and through our reception perfectly. Katie-Laine is simply amazing! I was first drawn to her because she was one of the only artists in the area who advertised using cleaner makeup products, which is a biggie for me, and I loved her style. I didn't realize just how much I would come to love her. Katie-Laine, in the middle of ever-changing COVID restrictions talked to me on the phone (out of state bride) for an hour just answering my questions and concerns around hiring vendors in such a turbulent time. She not only worked with my small budget, but she also made sure to get me in for a trial several weeks ahead of our wedding, booking that around my ability to get to Tennessee. I always appreciated her genuine, friendly personality and how quickly she or her assistant would get back to me. Even when I changed and added services several times, they were both so pleasant to work with. My trial went AMAZING. She had my make-up and hair put together exactly the way I had hoped for. I actually couldn't stop looking in the mirror because it was so perfect and still felt like me. I felt like I was just visiting my normal hairstylist back home with how much fun we had chatting during the trial. On my wedding day, Katie-Laine was so sweet to not only do my hair and makeup, but my mom and best friend's as well, the best friend being added on the day of our wedding since we didn't know if she was going to make it. She was delightful to talk to, and really made all three of us feel beautiful. The products she used stayed all day, despite the crazy rain and cold weather, and everything looks amazing in our photos! I'd 100% use her again!
Katie-Laine is fun, kind, and easy to talk to and work with. I especially love that she is environmentally conscious and uses eco-friendly products. I told her that I wanted to take my makeup skills and game to the next level. I had so much fun! She made wonderful recommendations that I can’t wait to try. I highly recommend her for makeup lessons, special events and photo shoots!
