I have been coming here for over a decade and have never been disappointed. I've had the legs of several pairs of shorts & pants hemmed, which is the majority of alterations that I need, and they have always been measured perfectly and look very professional. I've even had a couple of repairs where seams have come apart and when she was finished it looked like it was straight from the manufacturer. And while the rates might seem a little pricey for the alterations, I have compared prices with other alteration shops in or around the area and the prices are comparable. I've used Carol Kim on several occasions. The service is always friendly and professional. She really takes the time out to listen, assess your needs and advise you on what changes will look best. The space is clean with two changing stalls. I've had a total of three pieces altered and they all turned out perfect. The first item was a satin dress that I had the length shortened. The second item was a long formal beaded dress. I had the bust area taken in and the beaded cap sleeve altered. The third item was a jumpsuit that I ask her to turn into a romper. The turnaround time is prompt and the pricing is average. You get what you pay for and Carol Kim is worth every penny.
