Finding a good stylist is something very hard for me. I am “neurodivergent” with an autoimmune disease. My “quirks” can make experiences like getting my hair done very awkward and off putting for all involved. I am 37 years old and this is the first time a stylist did not seem annoyed by me and truly executed my hair vision. As an artist, my hair has always been one of the things I am very passionate and particular about. Laura, as kids say these days, understood the assignment. I have also never seen my husband look at me after a haircut. His response was “she nailed all of the photos you showed me.” She really did. I hate the saying that “it’s just hair,” because for a lot of people it is the anchor for their confidence in this world. As long as Alchemist is around, I will not go to another salon.
The ambiance should be discussed as well. When people think of salons, especially people who have had bad experiences in the past, they think of superficial vibes. Alchemist is for everyone. The amount of greenery is calming and inviting - like a cabin when you’re in desperate need of solace. The books on the shelf are encouraging for someone who is intimidated by typical salons. The staff is above and beyond welcoming and down to earth.
I cannot express my gratitude enough.
Don’t “sleep” on this salon option. You won’t regret it.

Where do I even begin? I’ve been a client with Taylor for over a year now. I absolutely adore her as a person, she’s professional, yet has such a great sense of humour, she’s humble, kind, and so down to earth. Not to mention that she’s literally a master at her craft.
