If you are prescribing monthly medication to someone and require them to come see you before their next refill, it would be nice to know before the medication from the last refill has run out. You were quick to text me, immediately after I called in my refill request, to tell me I can't get it without making an appointment. So I call to make an appointment and am told the next available appointment isn't for another week and a half. Why couldn't a text have gone out with my last refill request to inform me that this will be the last refill until I come in? When I asked if I could get a refill for the amount of days until my appointment, the lady I spoke with was rude. She didn't even tell me she'd ask to find out if that was possible; she just flat out told me no. I'm not taking the medicine for fun. I'm sure my doctor wouldn't prescribe me daily medication if I didn't need to take it daily. So making it to where I will have to go even one day without it seems to defeat the purpose of prescribing me the medication. Please do better.
It's a nice big office with LOTS if comfy seats with a TV blasting harpy daytime talk show. It's a busy place with loads of people. The receptionists and phone staff here kinda suck. I have been here 5 times for myself & with my honey and I haven't gotten a single smile or cordial hello or goodbye to date. Hey you don't have to hire a staff that's full of personality but you shouldn't recruit your people from the DMV either. To be fair this attitude ends at the front of house (although the phlebotomist aren't all that cheery but they stick really great so that's okay) because the nurses are terrific and everyone back of house have a great manner and professionalism. Back of house is where the really important stuff gets done because this is the healthcare part happens. The rest is just money and time management and noise. My wife, son and I share the same GP or general practicioner (Lee Magro). He is a really good guy who is super sharp and listens to his patients. He is a real critical thinker and doesn't shy away from running any and all tests that can possibly get to the root of the problem. He gets it, don't just treat the stunkin' symptoms because the cause is the problem. A really great diagnostician always treats the problem and not the symptoms. He just has an office here and shares everything else with a gaggle of other MD's and APN's. There's also a DO here which is cool, I like DO's. 5 stars to the medical staff, not so much for the administrative and other staff.
Dr. Daniel Magro responded to my concern with, "What do you want? A pill or something?" WOW! Short of actually telling me, he couldn't have made it any more obvious that he didn't care why I was there. I'm sure any doctor at this practice is better than this one!!
