“Had a session scheduled with my tattoo artist Andrew. Sadly, I had a rash starting where he was going to work appear. Instead of rescheduling, he took the time and came up with something else. I got this beautiful chest piece last minute. I told him I was not wearing a shirt under my hoodie, but was wearing a bra. He was very respectful, gave me something to cover up with and pasties just in case there was a slip. He is willing to give breaks when the pain becomes too much. Everyone is so nice and was hyping me up for this tattoo. By far the best shop I have been to.“

That anxiety immediately dissipated once I sat down for my consultation with Mikey Newblood about a coverup. He was kind and patient, and helped me work through my nebulous ideas and loose concepts for what I wanted, and delivered a design that exceeded my expectations. Working with Mikey this year has been an incredible journey, and I feel so fortunate to have found a shop with some of the kindest, most talented artists in east Tennessee - Olivia, Kris, and Tucker are also exceedingly gifted in what they do. Not to mention Kaytee the office manager is friendly and communicative, and with apprentice Cameron's help, keeps an inviting environment. My daughter is a fantastic artist, and she had painted a beautiful watercolor of 3 monarch butterflies for me. Somehow CJ miraculously tattooed the watercolor on my arm. It's amazing - my tattoo looks exactly like my daughter's watercolor! Except mine has lots of wrinkles and veins all over it...
