I think it is safe to say I have never been impressed with an optometrist until today. I saw Dr. Michael Durocher for the first time, and from the moment he walked into the room I could tell something was very different about him. Later in our conversation, I learned he used to be an ICU nurse. That connected all the dots for me.

As a registered nurse myself, I immediately recognized the difference. He didn't just perform an eye exam. He assessed me as a whole person. He took the time to listen, explain what he was seeing, answer every question I had, and make sure I actually understood everything. The people there are so polite and professional. They don’t rush you or make you feel uncomfortable. I was a nurse for over 20+ years and I would have been honored to work with them.

I hadn't been to the eye doctor in probably 3 years. After moving to the area it just wasn't the priority. But working on a computer day in and day out, I knew it was time! OPMT is located right in front of Publics and across from Snow White Drive In. The doctor (Dr. Michael) and his staff were great. I ordered one pair of glasses through them and my contacts. Definitely recommend their office if you are looking for a new provider.
