About Greenwood Cemetery

Greenwood Cemetery is a burial ground that has been serving the local community for many years. The cemetery staff, particularly Penny and Laurie, are praised for their compassionate and helpful approach in assisting families during the difficult process of interment. Customers highlight the personalized attention they received, with Laurie going the extra mile to offer comfort and support to a grieving family member. The cemetery is described as a place where families can lay their loved ones to rest, with one customer expressing gratitude for being able to inter their father with his parents. However, the reviews also suggest that the cemetery's operations can be inconsistent, with one customer reporting a frustrating experience when trying to inquire about cremation and interment options. The lack of clear communication and perceived changes in the staff's demeanor have led to some dissatisfaction. Overall, Greenwood Cemetery appears to be a place that provides a meaningful and caring environment for families to honor their deceased loved ones, though some improvements in consistency and transparency of the service may be warranted.

Penny made it possible to inter my father with his parents who had passed some 40 years ago. My siblings and i werent comfortable holding onto his ashes and i felt this was the best solution.

I was young when my grandparents passed and never really knew where they were. After doing some research i contacted Penny here at Greenwood. From start to finish she was nothing short of pleasant and full of Southern charm. Thank you so much to Penny and the owners of Greenwood for allowing my to place my father with his parents.

I just want to take a moment to tell you about my experience with Greenwood Cemetery. My mother passed away in December of 2023 and it was and still is a very difficult thing to process. I go by her grave daily and sometimes twice daily. Laurie, who over seen the burial was so compassionate and help ease our family in this transition. But what I want to say about Laurie is this……. She is the most beautiful precious soul I have come to meet. She has noticed me coming to the grave everyday and when she got off work she came to my mom’s grave site and just asked if she could give me a hug. That meant so much and was so heartfelt. I had called to inquire about being cremated and interred with my father at this location. Penny was so kind and helpful and we discussed our Bible reading etc made me feel so welcome. Called back today for quote and won't do that without paperwork from my brother who owns the plot who is fine with this scenario. Now says will have to check with grounds personnel about availability? Availability? It's an existing grave how can it be not available. Refuses to give me a dollar amount. Sooooo different from the other day. Rude, discourteous and has done none of what she said she was going to do. So just forget it I don't need the aggravation
