Carl and Tori deserve six stars out of five for an incredible job they did for Uncle Johnny’s Hostel on the Nolichucky River. The original house was built in 1934 and from 1997 to the present a series of additions were made that caused a number of problems, including leaks, low spots, debris accumulation, deteriorated non-operational chimneys, and generally poor construction. Additionally, the roof was disturbing to the eye with patches and tar visible, as well as gaps, valleys, and drooping areas that just didn’t look right.Carl and Tori corrected everything and Uncle Johnny’s now has a gorgeous rustic red metal roof that looks sharp and beautiful. The roof is top of the line.I had material left over and some other buildings that could use it; Carl and Tori told me exactly what to do and how to install the material. I put a new roof on a cabin yesterday and it’s not as good as Carl and Tori’s work, but it’s pretty damn sharp.Thank you so much. I am so proud of this roof and it makes me happy every time I see it.
