I am so disgusted, angry, upset!!! (And that doesn't even come close to how I feel! ) I went in there with hair that was all one length and came to the middle of my back. The photo i provided of what i wanted was an actual photo of myself (I wasn't trying to get a haircut from a photo of someone with a different texture of hair than I have! ) the first photos are what I told her I wanted. Which is obviously not even close to what I got! The length was supposed to be to my armpit.... what's left of it is bobbing on my shoulders! How do you even manage to do this?? I gave myself better haircuts in high school! I have tried to style it a million different ways and nothing is acceptable! I can't even pull it back and let the sides drape because they're different lengths on each side! I have a special event to go to in 5 days and I'm embarrassed to even be seen!
UPDATE: Amber (owner) reached out to me and scheduled a no charge appointment to look at my hair. She made some adjustments and blended the cut as much as possible. One side is still much shorter than the other but I elected to keep it that way instead of cutting it all extremely short. Even though Madelyn cut it about 5 inches shorter than I requested, Amber did a great job making it more manageable and able to be styled to look acceptable until it grows out. Thank you Amber. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to help make the very poor cut from Madelyn into something a little more manageable. (And thank you for the volumizing product). If you're looking for a good haircut, I still HIGHLY recommend steering clear of Madelyn.

My first time visiting Main Street beauty bar and I was treated so well and left with visibly noticeably cleaner and smoother skin and hair and feeling so much lighter and refreshed. Started off the visit with adding some hydration of water that was offered. Amber took the time to review my hair type and preferences on top of explaining the process for everything. I felt comfortable the entire time despite it being a new place and stylist. I genuinely felt like I was still me as a regular human being, not just a client who had walked in for a service. That was the first time I’ve had a scalp detox service and not just product and it was completely worth it, - especially for the havoc postpartum hormones have had over on my head. Amber also added in an unplanned extra conditioning mask to help my dryness out. She also answered some questions I asked regarding options to help with most effectively maintaining curl in my hair and shared some product recommendations. It’s now been a few days and my face and scalp are still feeling rejuvenated and my hair is obviously healthier. The salon was beautiful, clean, and not overstimulating from noise like I’ve found some to be. I’m grateful to have had such an amazing much needed relaxing experience with Amber at Main Street beauty bar and will be returning!
