About Ply Gem Siding Group
Ply Gem Siding Group receives positive reviews for its easy and efficient loading and unloading process. Drivers often report quick service, with some being unloaded in as little as 10 minutes. The staff is described as friendly and helpful, making for a smooth experience. The shipping is mainly flatbed, with occasional vans, and the dock doors are easy to access, though the shipping personnel can influence the check-in process. Dry van pickups are by appointment, and overnight parking is allowed along the shoulder or nearby areas like Mapco or the hospital side. The dock delivery at the south end of the building involves following specific instructions for truck entry and parking, with tight turns for extended wheelbase trucks due to dumpsters and empty trailers. Overall, drivers appreciate the fast service, friendly staff, and the convenience of overnight parking, making Ply Gem Siding Group a recommended stop.
Some additional information for dry van drivers. Dock delivery here is on the South end of the building. Pull in to main truck entrance, buzz to get in gate. (This is a one way through) Park off to right side and go through door next to ramp. Follow yellow lines to receiving clerk window. She signs bills then you go back out and return to second entrance where employee parking is to get to South Docks. There are only two doors. For extended wheel base trucks it's super tight jackknife to turn around for backing setup because there is a dumpster and empty trailers. 20 minute unload. A++
Dry van pickup was by appointment. Recommend parking near stop sign or nearby at Mapco. I parked along the shoulder on the hospital side. Ship/Receiving Office located inside near ramp at front gate. Traffic is one way, however you might not have a choice if you’re blocked.
