“I took my cats over the years to the vet in Waynesboro because they all hated to ride but due to an incident that happened at the vet there I had to look elsewhere for a vet for my beloved cat Hemingway Haddock, an altered male tuxedo cat that I love more than life itself! After talking to others and doing my research I decided to go to the Hohenwald Animal Hospital where, it turned out, Dr. Jamie, who used to work at the vet in Waynesboro worked at. My baby was losing weight and was not himself. After much stress on my part, Dr. Jamie did the bloodwork and Hemingway was diabetic. I was glad for a diagnosis but knew he would never allow me to give him shots so Dr. Jamie suggested a newer medicine called Bexacat and it has worked an absolute miracle! He has been on it ever since, I crush one pill daily in his breakfast and have changed his diet completely and he is now in remission! He will always have to be on the med and have a special diet but he is happy and healthy and I give all the credit to Hohenwald Animal Hospital and Dr. Jamie in particular. I get extremely upset when taking Hemmy back and forth to the vet and I have arrived there in tears and about to lose my mind with worry and the staff is so understanding and you can just tell they love the animals/pets/family members they care for daily. I could not recommend them more and I want to publicly thank them for their understanding, knowledge and kindness when it comes to our pets. My daughter also goes there and I know they have to be super patient to deal with our high-strung personalities, especially with our cats! Staff and Dr. Jamie your great work has not gone unnoticed! You guys are the very best!”
