I Love Volunteer Veterinary Clinic They Always Take Good Care Of My Birds They Are All Very Friendly!! Unfortunately She Passed Away About Two Weeks Ago 😞! But They Do Go Above & Try To Get Things Figured Out! Will Take My Future Birds There If I Get Any!!

I have taken all of my pets here for about the past 30 years- exotic to all different breeds of dogs. We drive far out of our way to take our pets here because Vol Vet has always gone out of their way to provide the best care possible for every type service needed!

I brought my grand doggie in to be spaded and they did an amazing job. Highly recommend! And when she previously had a skin infection they were very concerned and took good care to cover everything immediately. Also, when she had allergies they gave me a print out of which over the counter allergy meds dogs can take and how much based on their weight to give. Happy so far!

DR Dixon and his staff and very caring and so kind. I don't regret choosing them as our provider.

My bird was seen here by Dr. Dixon. He is an amazing doctor! He knew exactly what was wrong with my bird and gave me a remedy that same day. My bird fully recovered and the treatment was very affordable. My bird will continue to come to this hospital even though I live an hour away! Seeing a good doctor is key to extending my pet's life and saves me money in the long run too.

Since posting my review, the office has been very diligent to discuss the areas of concern.

There were multiple communication issues that left me confused and uncertain about my pet's health. Eight of the ten syringes I was given contained mostly air bubbles rather than full doses (pictured), and a second prescription I was charged for was never provided to me. The initial cost of treatment was $709.

9/12/25 - We arrived at 11:45 AM, I agreed to nearly all recommended care, and returned at 4 PM to check on progress. The vet gave a brief, grim statement that led me to approve the final item on the treatment plan and that was the last I heard from the vet. No further explanation and no time for questions.

I returned 9/16 for the replacement of the partial doses I had been given. - On 9/18 they realized they had never given me the second prescription, the one I paid for 9/12 and asked about 9/13.

9/22, My pet’s appetite and demeanor have changed. I will be seeking further treatment at a different clinic.

We took our new cockatiel in for a wellness check up and nail trim and had a wonderful experience. The staff was so nice and welcoming when we walked in , the vet tech was great with helping dr. Dixon handle our sweet Mr. Lemon . Dr.Dixon was great with giving me lots of helpful tips on the nutrition of our bird. He took a lot of time and care and answered all my questions . I'm so happy I found a great avian vet in the area and I highly recommend them .

This is the best vet around town, highly skilled and straight forward. They always help our pets in a very fast and fairly priced way. Would recommend to all my friends and family.
