The “Moatengators” were the mascots of the Paratroopers of A Co (ABN) 3/5 INF Panama. Every one of the alligators when they were small had been taken on at least one parachute jump, either strapped to the top of a reserve chute or on top of a rucksack, since a Airborne units mascot couldn’t be a “leg”. Our gators were taken good care of, they were well fed, they had a fenced in area with a moat to swim in, a lawn area where they could bask in the sun and a couple of low palm trees that offered shade. The artist who did my tattoo was Shawnessey Joslin, the detail, as well as every other aspect of the tattoo was fantastic and I feel like he went above and beyond with the care he put into the piece. I saw some of the other artists work and I’d recommend this shop and Shawn to even my best friends. The prices are very fair. They have a gigantic selection of any type of flash you could want, military stuff and even some that are over 100 years old. I’ve been getting inked for over 43 years and Bristol Tattoo Company is one of the best I’ve ever been too.
One of my favorite things about Bristol Tattoo Company is the people. You can tell every artist there is genuinely passionate about what they do, and it’s really cool to see how much they support one another. They’re constantly bouncing ideas off each other, offering feedback, and celebrating each other’s work. It feels like a true team instead of just artists sharing a space, and I think that collaborative environment makes everyone even better at what they do. The shop is clean, welcoming, and always makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend!
