Caring. Wonderful. We cannot thank them enough for all the care they have shown our fur babies. In good times and in bad times - wonderful.

This vet did end up giving me a discount on the send out labs I had not approved so I raised the rating as a gesture of thanks.

We had used Brentwood Vet Clinic for decades. It is not now the facility that it once was, perhaps because it's now owned by a chain corporation. There are two important criteria: Competence and Compassion. I found both lacking during our recent experience. Regarding competence, a basic symptom was treated (appetite stimulant and antibiotic) but no search for the root cause of the problem. No blood work until I requested it on a subsequent visit. I also had to request that the mouth be checked and the temperature taken. It was obvious my cat was extremely ill. I will never know if she died from a terminal disease, or something treatable, because there was never a diagnosis. Not finding a more qualified vet is on me, and I will have to live with that, but the actual rudeness and attitude I encountered was a shock. We have two other pets, and I now will find a new vet because I don't trust Brentwood. The vet there actually said she didn't need more clients and had more patients than she could handle. Brentwood now has 3 less to worry with. I might add, I've never given a bad review to anyone for anything before. But this is important.

We recently moved to the area and needed to find a vet for our two dogs, Wendy & Charlie. We were referred to Brentwood Veterinary Clinic by a local emergency vet and made an appointment with Dr. Gapstur, as she specializes in senior dog care. Dr. Gapstur took the time to get to know Wendy & Charlie's history, how they were at the time and we made a plan on treatment for Wendy, who was an older dog & just had a horrible experience with a dog sitter that neglected her. Unfortunately Wendy took a turn for the worse and we made the gut-wrenching decision to put her down. The kindness and love Dr. Gapstur and the team at Brentwood Veterinary Clinic showed us and Wendy was nothing short of amazing. Putting our beloved Wendy down was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Dr. Gapstur and her team gave Wendy lots of love, food and treats before she passed. Wendy even got to try some chocolate. I also received a sympathy card in the mail, signed by everyone at the clinic. The small gesture meant so much to me. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Gapstur and the team for how they treated us and Wendy at the end of her life. In addition to the love Dr. Gapstur showed us, it is also very clear how knowledgeable she is on the appropriate care and best treatments options. I highly recommend Brentwood Veterinary Clinic for your pets care and specifically Dr. Gapstur, she is amazing. Katherine

I highly recommend Brentwood Veterinary Clinic to care for your pets. I've been going to them for 3 years now and know my dog is well cared for. I go for periodic nail trims and annual visits and every time I am there I am welcomed and any questions I have are thoroughly answered. Their prices are very reasonable and the quality you receive is amazing from this team!

I am your typical, super anxious dog mama and am always scared about taking her somewhere new! We recently moved to Nashville from Chicago and got a recommendation from a coworker to take her here. We are soooo happy with this decision!! The staff are all so friendly and helpful - and the doctors are AMAZING! I 1000% trust them with Luna and they do an awesome job handling nervous dog parents like us :) Luna has an allergic reaction to a bee sting and I must've called them 15 times asking for advice and eventually they even fit us in that same day so she could get taken care of!! 10/10 happy with this place & highly recommend! They will love on and take care of your fur babies in the best way :)

Everything started out fine with the clinic. We had a 12 week old puppy who got all her vaccines and even her spay with them. They took great care of her for that procedure. What we didn't like is that they completely ignored a medical issue that she had. BVC looked at her multiple times and constantly said that she was fine. I called concerned one night when her skin was turning pink and bumpy. They emailed me the next day at noon and said it was fine and just to put some spray on it. Three months later, I finally took her to another vet due to no improvement and then ignoring the issue. Turns out she had TWO bacterial infections on her skin this whole time. Our vet also went onto maternity leave without telling us (we had no idea she was pregnant due to covid and not being able to enter the building). The next vet they gave us retired in a week. The turnover was insane. She was being passed around vet to vet with no notice. It's quite a shame.

I love Dr. Frouchie (however you spell it )!!! She was so comforting and called us constantly with updates about our kitty's first visit to the vet and during a pandemic! She was very quick and took good care of our cat. They lost a star because when I dropped off my cat I could smell that she had an accident in the carrier and they promised they would "clean her all up" but when I picked her up, the p*** was still in the carrier! Not cool y'all. I guess they didn't see it, it was kind of hidden but I told them it was there ‍

Took our labradoodle to BVC when we first got her for vaccines. They did not vaccinate her for Lyme but did ask me about Lepto vaccine, if exposed to rivers & lakes. She just tested positive for Lyme antibodies. Thanks for charging me an arm and a leg and not being thorough.

If you're dog is healthy than you are good to go. The staff is friendly and the veterinarians are as well. However, the competence here is highly questionable. I had two dogs go to Brentwood veterinary clinic for their normal checkups etc for 3 years. My male dog had dental cleaning that yielded literally no result. Over $1,000 for each cleaning and after taking him to another vet he still needed extractions and the cleaning was not thorough at all, I was shown all of the places that were not cleaned properly. So I had to pay over $1,000 again to have it done correctly. One of my dogs had an issue with his back leg joints that was never disclosed to me and he needed to be on supplements for. Yet again, another vet informed me of this. The most discouraging part of the neglect that I experienced was my female dog was developing a gallbladder issue and was showing symptoms that I just disclosed at her checkup. I was unaware that these were symptoms of a gallbladder rupture or issue, that is what I paid the veterinarian to know. I was told that she was getting older and it was brushed off. She was not even 9 years old at this time. She passed away a few weeks later from her gallbladder bursting. At yet another vet clinic that consists of specialists and surgeons in an emergency clinic, said that this was very preventable and should have been picked up on when I described the symptoms to her vet at her checkup a couple of weeks earlier. By the time I was at the emergency vet there was nothing that could be done, she was bleeding internally. So both of my dogs were neglected but my bill reflected nothing but the best. Very disappointed and broken-hearted with their lack of attention on both of my dogs. Brentwood is a very effluent area that typically offers the best of the best, except when it comes to veterinarians unfortunately I had to learn the hard way.
