Don't be fooled when you go in the store & they're friendly & say all the right things. I would not trust this company in my home again. They actually pass the work off to contractors & don't do the work themselves then they don't hold the contractors accountable. On 5/14/19 I had wood flooring installed in my home assuming that my floor would be installed by the Gillenwater. I had no idea anybody but them would be in my home until the contractor's van pulled in my driveway that day. To say that this crew was unprofessional & untrustworthy is an understatement. The flooring was installed in the living room & hallway so they had no reason to be in any other rooms. Two items were broken in a bedroom & something else was moved across the room in that same bedroom so they were handling my personal belongings in a room that they had no business being in. My bathroom was left a filthy mess (mound of toilet paper in the toilet, dirt everywhere, etc) & they stole the hand towel of all things! I found numerous nails in my driveway (luckily before anyone ran over them). The contractor also stole the leftover flooring (their documents clearly state that the customer keeps any extra material). I went to their store on 5/16/19 to pay my remaining balance & discuss the issues. I spoke to my salesperson (Mark) & he made a list of my concerns. He managed to get my extra flooring back from the contractor so I went to the store to pick it up on 5/20/19. At that time I spoke to someone else who was a manager or maybe even the owner (Brandon/Brennan/something like that). He said that he had my list of concerns & would be speaking to the contractor & would be back in touch with me. He confirmed that they should not have been in any rooms where work was not being done & that they are not supposed to be using the customer's bathroom. He also said that he would "make things right" for me when it came to the broken items. Here we are a month later & I've never heard another word from them.

Can’t say enough about Gillenwater…from their courteous service to exceptional craftsmanship, we have been so pleased with every aspect of this process and are thoroughly enjoying the transformation of our home. We’ve got gorgeous hand-scraped hardwood floors, installed perfectly and beautifully throughout our lower level.
