About Avera Medical Group Dermatology — S Minnesota Ave
Avera Dermatology had a welcoming and caring experience. Patients feel welcomed and genuinely cared for from the moment they walk in. The team was kind, personable and attentive, taking time to listen to concerns and respond thoughtfully. Care was thorough, responsive and high-quality, combining professionalism with a warm, compassionate approach. Patients had successful treatment for psoriasis, basal cell cancer removal and reconstruction, and felt thankful and grateful. Booking appts for new patients was a year out, with next October and November out, and the phone experience was polite and the wait was long. Overall the team was consistently thoughtful and care was high-quality and highly recommended for anyone looking for a team that truly goes above and beyond.
I had such a great experience at Avera Dermatology in Sioux Falls! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and genuinely cared for.
Lexi and Amy were both absolutely amazing. They were incredibly kind, personable, and attentive throughout my entire visit. You can really tell they care about their patients—not just medically, but as people. They took the time to listen to all of my concerns, responded thoughtfully to every question, and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way.
What stood out most was how thorough and responsive they were. No concern felt too small, and they consistently provided thoughtful, high-quality care with each request....read full review
So far have been going to see them for psoriasis and previous doctor Kimberly Dewing was amazing. She also performed in finding basal cell cancer for my fiance and was successful in removal of it. Although we feel her failure to address the area for cancer in early detection was a mis diagnosis on her part. Had she checked it for cancer to begin with David's fave wouldn't have been so damaged and scared by the surgery 2 years later because she would put it off. The plastic surgeon dr figura did do an amazing job reconstruction afterwards and we are thankful for that at least over a year later now.
Booking appts for new patients out for next October and November, a year out. I had a polite experience over the phone, just less than ideal for new patients to have to wait a year just to get in
