This is the third year in a row I’ve enjoyed a fall visit to Moccasin Springs! It’s such a relaxing, pleasant, and positive experience. I always leave feeling so peaceful. We usually book soak passes online or call ahead of time. The space is always very clean and helpful staff. I’m the future, I look forward to trying the classes, massages, and restaurant. It’s a hidden gem and I highly recommend!

Have you ever had the feeling so deep in your soul…a place which explodes your spirit? Mocassin Springs is that Place in Space! 10 STARS 1. The entry garden with the sculpture. Native American Princess holding high over head a jug of flowing sacred spring water. The PipeStone pipe and why is the knife unsheathed? 2. The front desk. The staff welcomes you and is there to serve you in the hushed attitude found only in the world’s top spas. Not receptionists. The staff are the nurses quietly circulating around as if the pools are their patients, taking their temperatures, desiring the returning perfection. You are simply there for visiting time. 3. The Dragon Fly. Start with desert. Debate the specials. Feed your head. 4. The Hallway Leading to the soaking pools. Quiet Serenity. Yet, opens the design concept experienced throughout the interiors and exteriors of the Spa’s entirety. South Dakota rough and exquisite finish mix harmoniously. Cool darkness of the yoga and massage spaces with an open invitation to explore your mind/body Further. 5. The Garden of Earthly Delights meets Wild Bill Hickcock as you open the door, quietly. You have seen the pictures on social media, yet with people soaking, the dream is Hieronymus Bosch in real time. 6. The desire to see this panavision painted when a fluffy snow falls….. 7. The ancient spring running 80 to 90 degrees F. Different temperatures for different strokes, folks, each soaking pool a card in your deck. Play your cards the way you feel right… wagering up to 104 degrees F. 8. The water from the sacred spring is constant a flow as life’s energy. So thick with the what your body craves you try not to float. Yet you give in and your mind is a hot air balloon soaring over the architecture of the Black Mountains to the Badlands and Beyond. 9.The distant memory of time for your massage treatment has you in retreat to the room with an enamel wood burning stove puffing smoke announcing your arrival as the new Pope. For such a small space the choices of body work has your head in their hands. And you float Further….Again. 10. Yes there was Sedona, Baden Baden, Mohonk, Big Sur….Yet, I am the luckiest soul alive with a monthly pass! Thank you Kara!
