I have seen Dr Lytle for a few years for my Rheumatoid Arthritis. He has been attentive, great mood always ready for my questions. When regular treatments failed, he found ones that worked. A great Doctor.

Been going for over 10 years. Since my 1st Rheumatologist left practice not happy with this new one. A very young lady. Not very personable. Lucky to receive 10 minutes in office.

Staff from front to back are very friendly and competent. Dr. Martin was very thorough and knowledgeable and had great bedside manner. Only rated 4 stars as I am awaiting a diagnostics conclusion then will review again.

Dr. G is an awesome doctor. I could not ask for a better person to care for me and by autoimmune disease.
The reason for a 1-star reating is Kevin, the office manager, and Dawn, the new infusion "nurse" (I use that term very loosely.). Dawn is completely useless and does not know what she is doing. She ripped the IV out of my arm at the end of my first infusion with her. She has absolutely no bedside manner or personality. Kevin's hiring practices over the last 10 months leaves much to be desired.
Susan was an exceptional infusion nurse, and the reason I always looked forward to my infusions. She is missed!

My appointment at Lexington Rheumatology with Dr. Talip was very good. I went the day prior to my appointment to make certain I knew how to get there and how long it would take me to get there. I was very anxious. There were two ladies at the front desk, Ms. Karen and Ms. Paula. They were very kind to me and made me feel at home. I gave them my paperwork and they allowed me to fill out one short paper. I was glad that I went a day early. They made me feel hopeful. On the day of my appointment, Ms. Angie and Ms. Karen checked me in. Seeing Ms. Karen again made me feel comfortable. Clinical Staff Member Ms. Carolyn took me to the treatment room and took my vitals signs and laid the bed back so I would be physically comfortable. Dr. Talip spoke to me as he examined me. He told me I had no signs of organ problems as a result of Lupus. He ordered a few more blood tests. Ms. Lakesha took my blood work. I warned her that I was a very difficult stick and the others used a 'butterfly' needle. She told me there was no need to worry. She could handle whatever the situation called for. Before I knew it she had drawn four tubes of blood with no problem. She was very kind. I checked out with Ms. Paula who remembered me from the day before. She and Ms. Karen were the two ladies who assisted me the day before. She gave me a short survey that I could fill out which I appreciated. She also gave me directions to the front office so I could say goodbye to Ms. Karen and thank her for her kindness. I couldn't say more good things about the staff. I wish all the professionals that I had to deal with had a kind staff like Lexington Rheumatology. Thank you, I would recommend other patients to Lexington Rheumatology.

Sad to be a patient here with many doctors and now they can’t see me because the doctor I saw left. I’m not a new patient. Really stinks the way things are handled.

Let me start with I love Dr G and have had a very great patient/dr relationship with him and very pleased with his bedside manner’s! I also developed a great friendship with my former infusion nurses but since Kevin was appointed over infusion and all the change in nurses breaks up the relationships and care as their patients have become accustomed to! They use to be so caring and personal with all the patients! Now infusion door stays open no privacy for us since Kevin he has ran so many great nurses off .. it’s a shame he remains over infusion !! Highly disappointed in the changes made since he took over infusion!
Disappointed In Everything Now.

I have very mixed feelings about the practice. I came to Lexington Rheumatology in 2016 when I moved to South Carolina. It took 9 months to get in. I heard great things. I had several years of excellent care, attentive rheumatologists, and timely treatment. Within the last year, so many negative things have impacted my outlook. During 2023, the infusion clinic experienced a high turnover. I love going to the clinic because they are family... I know their names, their kids names, where they go on vacation, etc. Patients would bring in Christmas gifts, food, etc. It was an environment that made you OK with going through something otherwise not so exciting. Eric was at the clinic for a short while but he left in September or so. Then poor Susan got hurt and was out for a while, then Megan left...Then many of us got apology letters for our experiences in getting treatment. I was referred to another local infusion clinic who never responded to my request. I was grateful that Lex Rheum was able to flush my port. They even squeezed me in the same day. It took a few months to get my PA back to the correct location but all was said and done. I restarted my infusions and I've been feeling better than in a long-time. Next thing I know, my rheumatologist is no longer there (without warning) and no one would be transparent about what happened. I stayed because I was comfortable and happy that at least I knew ONE of the nurses in the infusion clinic. As long as I held onto that, I was OK with switching doctors. I was given a choice of which doc to switch to, and they assigned me to a different one. The one I got moved to talked so quickly and essentially made me question everything about my diagnosis. If you have a diagnosis that requires you to see a rheumatologist, you know it can take a LONG time to get treatment that works for you and for you to know it's "not just in your head". I felt unsettled but wanted to give it one more chance. Next thing you know, I go to get an infusion and my favorite nurse is no longer with the practice. Seriously.... I knew she had a 5 year plan. She would not just leave. Susan was the glue to that infusion clinic and kept things running. She was the only person back there who could access my port on the first try. I don't want to put the other ladies down, as they tried their best, but there is something about knowing you aren't going to have to experience pain when going in for treatment. That feeling of comfort is gone. I 100% know I am not alone in this as so many others have voiced their concerns vocally in the short time. I'm not sure what's happening but I really hope they get things turned around quickly. They are losing very bright and loving people.
