I cannot recommend the dog wizard of Greenville more! They are highly attentive, skilled in their field, knowledgeable and most importantly - truly care about the well being of your pets. I felt so at ease knowing my two dog babies were well cared for during the 14 day Board & Train. I received a very detailed and thorough check-in call every 3 days while they were gone. They posted photos daily - so I never felt out of touch as to what was going on. At the end of our 14 days, we had a one on one training that has prepared me to continue growing my dog’s new skills. I feel so confident moving forward taking both dogs out for long walks and to social gatherings. I look forward to many more group training sessions and hangs with the team. Wow, what a great experience this has been. We were struggling with Reggie’s reactivity and had tried other programs with no success. I was skeptical about board and train, but Violet talked me through all my nervousness. The dog we have now is so different from the dog we dropped off (in all the good ways). Our three main issues have all seen major improvements. Reggie no longer barks endlessly at every person and delivery truck that goes by. We can walk on the Swamp Rabbit Trail without lunging and barking. Reggie not only goes in his crate when we tell him to, he sometimes goes in just to have a calm place. I love having the option of the Support Group Class to keep us practicing. Tara, Damien and Violet, we are so grateful!
Tara and her crew were amazing with Monty. Before he attended the 21 day jumpstart he was very nervous around people. It was starting to concern us. He would bark non-stop at people when they entered our house and would not let anyone pet him. To us he was the sweetest dog so it was hard to understand why he didn’t like others. Our twice daily walks started to become a nightmare. We decided to invest in training. After researching we felt the The Dog Wizard was the training program for us. After talking with Tara she explained some of the behavior we were seeing and how she can address it. She recommended Monty attend board and train. While it’s not cheap, it’s worth it. I had a hard time with Monty being gone that long, but Tara kept me informed. Monty came home a different dog. He wasn’t easy for the team to train. They continued to work with him. After picking him up, we received the tools and training we need to keep on track with his training. The team might train your dog, but it’s very important to train the human. They do that with you. Our follow up sessions have been extremely helpful. We are learning a lot. With Monty is a life time commitment. And we have vowed to keep him trained the way he came home. I highly recommend placing your dog in Tara’s care.
