For clarification, this account appears under Gayle Smith. My name is Nancy Heffernan. Dr. Campbell is a good vet. My issue is with one of her receptionists, Emily. My cat was euthanized following several months of care from Dr. Campbell. Toward the end of my cat's life, she was seen by two additional vets. It was too late to save her. After she passed, I contacted Dr. Campbell's office. I was not blaming her for the death of my cat. I only wanted answers regarding her care. After communicating my questions to Emily, she flew into a rage-filled tirade and took it upon herself to answer for the doctor. She yelled over my voice and accused me of intentionally not medicating my cat, as prescribed, which is akin to accusing me of killing my beloved animal. My cat was very difficult to medicate, as after several days of successfully administering medication, she began to hide under the bed when she saw me approach. Emily and Dr. Campbell were well aware of this. The doctor recommended keeping her in a small room, which was not a viable option, as she howled and scratched the walls to get out. I could not confine her for multiple days.
After Emily's accusation that I purposely withheld medication from my cat, I reminded her of how impossible a task this was. She yelled over my voice, was rude, offensive and as unprofessional as I've ever encountered in a medical office. Following her loud, angry rant, Dr. Campbell called and in a calm, professional manner, replied to my questions. I asked if she heard the manner in which Emily was speaking to me. She did not. She apologized that I felt the way I did, as if I was upset over nothing. Never have I stopped going to a medical professional due to their receptionist's rage-filled method of communicating. Emily, with Double Springs is a first.

I just called and asked how much it would cost to get a stray male cat fixed. They quoted me at $600-$700 to neuter a male cat. That’s laughable!! I had my female house cat fixed at another place for $150 out the door.

Edit to the clinic reply: #1… I did not curse, I said ok then & have a good day & I hung up. I did not get hung up on so you must be talking about somebody else, and I also very clearly stated that I had a male cat that was a stray that I can’t pick up and weigh. I was told to use my household scale, which is not even an option. Thank you for the quote which is more reasonable, but I’ll take my money and my animals elsewhere. Thank you.

Dr Campbell and her crew are our doggies' best friends. We have used their services for 6 years now, and even though we no longer live in Greer, we have no problem making the trip when it comes to using the best.
