Michael was transparent about the cost of the equipment, supplies and labor. Not one of the other six companies I received quotes from would do that for me. Each of the other companies quotes were much higher - from $1500 to as much as $7,000 more! Oh yeah, and then there was the most outrageous one . . One of the contractors was hell bent on getting me to sign up to a ten year commitment that would have cost me $234 per month - in other words $28,000 for a 3 ton 2-stage heat pump! They all gave me 'all inclusive' quotes and each had firm opinions - clear product preferences - that they were insistent on pushing on me. None was willing to itemize the costs. Michael was willing to consider and price out a variety of options. I had huge moisture problems in my house that I have been battling for over 7 years. Michael took the time to answer all my questions and concerns - without any personal attachment to a particular outcome of my final decision. His employees were equally as considerate of all my questions. I did a lot of research beforehand, and I feel confident that Michael's prices were fair and reasonable. His crew did a fantastic job, and cleaned up the work site meticulously. They ended up installing a 2-stage, 15.2 SEER electric heat pump - replacing my old 3-ton gas heat pack/furnace. Thanks for everything! All of you left a very good impression. I will definitely be calling you when it's time to replace my water heater. So glad I found the honest, professional Local Mechanical Heating & Air crew who wasn't out to make excessive/exploitative profits out of my unfortunate predicament, let alone force me into accepting a product that didn't fit my needs and circumstances. After all, it was the old unit that had caused most of my moisture problems to begin with - all because I allowed myself to be coerced into buying an inappropriate system back in 2010 - which has resulted in well over $75,000 in moisture problems/structural repairs since.😍
