These Guys Understand the importance and significance of facial grooming..and you can have an adult beverage while you wait. 1st time I've gone to a barbershop in over 12 years and I still felt at home. First time here from out of town looking for a new Barber love the decor staff was friendly and helpful. Was just very disappointed for how much I paid and there was hair on my head that he missed and I was my haircut could have been a closer cut.

Went for my first time and was blown away by the entire experience. I've never been to what I now consider a real barber shop and Grant was amazing showing me what he was doing and why. Everyone was friendly even at 9am and I look forward to every haircut in the future now!

High quality service with a stellar cut. This was my first time getting a haircut since moving here. Everyone knows the power of the relationship centered around trust between a man and his barber. My guy, Grant, was super chill. I loved the vibes in The Black Derby. All the barbers were nice, professional, and friendly. I felt welcome immediately. Not to mention the hair cut looks great! Definitely my go to spot in Spartanburg. The website was easy to use in booking, but they also take walk ins on the regular!

I came here from out of town looking for a new barber, the previous reviews were great so I decided to give them a try. I’m terribly disappointed, the cut I got was nowhere near what I wanted, I gave the barber a reference picture and he still cut it how he wanted, not according to the reference, I will never, ever recommend this shop.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt it was necessary to review this shop. I just moved here from a big city looking for a decent barber shop in town. I looked at previous reviews and decided to give it a try. I booked an appointment. Place looks nice. Gave the barber a reference photo of how I get my haircut, really simple as I thought. However it was the total opposite, I was butchered, I wanted to cry, but I held it in. I was scared of how I looked. The barber did not use the reference photo, I believe he made a huge mistake and just shaved my whole head, by the time I caught it, it was too late. Stay away from this shop. It's awful.

Great environment and decor. Fair cut but was scared to take as much off hair as wanted. Hopefully will grow into skills. (Mentioned instructor telling him better to take less than too much.) Since we were travelling, we will have to have someone else cut.

My first time going to this barber shop with my 2 year old son who does not do well with haircuts. But star was absolutely amazing she immediately made us feel comfortable and really interacted and asked my son what caps he wanted to wear and talked through the whole process with him!!!! 5 out 5 for STAR!!!!

I cannot say enough about how great this place is. Mary was great and after she was taking care of me I found out that she was the boss! We had a great conversation and my wife was super happy with my beard. So win win!
