The hospital performed ACL surgery on a dog, and the care and attention was superb. They got a dog in for an evaluation during seizures, and the care, compassion, and support was so comforting during a difficult time. The place is spacious and clean, with plenty of parking. Dogs received vaccinations for things they never got before. They don't have the ability to test blood or urine on site, unlike other vets.
Port Royal Veterinary Hospital was able to take us in early on a Monday after a weekend of issues with our dog. Although they had several emergency visits that morning, they communicated with me several times and I was seen in a reasonable amount of time. The entire staff is friendly, courteous, professional, and efficient - it was a pleasant first visit. We felt that Dr. Ashley Houston was very deliberate, thoughtful, and a terrific communicator as well. We highly recommend PRVH!
This was my first trip to p r v h. My dog was in dire need of a haircut. I not only got a groomer that had excellent knowledge of my dog's breed and specialized cut, but she was also able to give us an appointment within twenty four hours. The front desk and records collection for my dog was well run. And the groomer took time to sit and listen to what I wanted her to do. My dog got an excellent grooming and our whole experience was top notch.
My cat was suffering and I tried to make an appointment with another vet but the soonest time I could bring her in was a week and a half away so I called Port Royal vet a the animal was seen immediately because of their larger staff available. I will continue patronizing this vets animal office for future use.
