My goodness, where to begin? Abuelo's is located at the Coastal Grand Mall. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the top-notch cleanliness of the restaurant and the welcoming decor. It's a very relaxing environment. We went on a Tuesday night at about 6:30. Our waitperson, Antwon, greeted us right away and took our drink order. Antwon was very polite and friendly and answered our questions. He was very knowledgeable about their offerings. My husband, who does not eat beef, got The Grande and was able to change anything beef to chicken with no problem. This is a huge platter of food and it was obviously delicious as he ate most every bite! I had the grilled steak Fajita Chimichanga with the chile con queso sauce and tried hard to eat it all, but couldn't. So very good! The chips were very light and not at all greasy. Salsa was good but my husband needed something with a little kick to it so he got the very hot...it had a great flavor but was too hot for me. The medium hot was the ticket. We very much enjoyed everything about our experience at this restaurant and will be back!

My wife and I had eaten here recently and brought our daughter and grandson here on spring break. Everyone loved it so much that we skipped eating at the Sea Captains House in order to eat at Abuelo's again our last day in Myrtle Beach. The first visit my grandson and I had the Grande Platter but neither of us could finish it so we gave it another try on the second visit and two Grande Platters disappeared completely. We loved them. My wife has the Chicken Tampiquena and my daughter has the Beef Fajita Chimichang. The chips and sasta were great and our server was Abi on the first visit and Autumn on the second visit. Both were fantastic and we enjoyed their upbeat and friendly service.
