Avoid this business. In my opinion, this business uses bait-and-switch tactics on tourists and scams them. My mother’s husband was quoted one price and then charged an insane amount, and the work looked like a kindergartner drew on him with Sharpie. We are from out of state so did not pursue further action, but you can file a complaint with the SC Department of Consumer Affairs and the SC Attorney General’s Office if this happens to you.

We had a really disappointing experience here. We were walking along Ocean Blvd and one of the ladies working at the hair wrap booth called us over and started convincing my younger daughter to pick colors. Before we even fully decided if we were going to do it, she had already sat my daughter down and started braiding - no real explanation of the price or what it would cost. The sign said $12.99 for a braid, so I thought it would be something simple and affordable. But when we went to pay, the total was suddenly $68. I was shocked. This place is the definition of a tourist trap. My mom and I stopped by a henna & hair wrap stand near Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach, thinking we'd have a fun little beach moment. Instead, we got straight up scammed. First off, they charged me $35 for what was supposed to be henna - but it turned out to be jet black ink that looks like someone drew on me with a Sharpie. I even slept with it like they said, hoping it would deepen into that natural reddish-brown henna color. Nope. Woke up looking like I lost a bet at a frat party. And as if that wasn't bad enough, they charged my mom $66… SIXTY SIX DOLLARS!!! for a “hair wrap” that looked like something a bored...read full review
