I did my homework for almost a year before I purchased an HVAC unit. The information in itself was depressing as, when I read the reviews, almost all of them had an issue, a complaint and even an outright lawsuit against these companies. I am a widow, a senior and a woman; three strikes when you get connected to an unscrupulous contractor, and I was hesitant about even getting a new AC system but knew it had to be done. During my 'homework' in looking for a great company (yes, I had the bar set very high) I kept running across Cooper Mechanical so I took the plunge and called them and spoke to Matt Smith. Now mind you, I did not contact them for an estimate until almost a year later and he actually remembered me. Almost a year passed and all the while I was checking on Cooper's progress. I was the quintessential 'nosey old lady' but, doing my due diligence, going with my gut and taking a chance, I finally asked for an estimate. It wasn't the lowest estimate I received yet it was the most professional; down to what kind of parts they'd be using and explanations to me of why I required these parts. And then there was Matt Smith and if he could remember what an old woman asked on a phone call almost a year before...I had my company! He was the business side of the company and I thought that the workers would not rise to his excellence. Boy, was I wrong! Yes, I did hire them and my intuition was correct. The crew they sent was professional yet friendly, courteous, quiet, and respectful of me and my property. I do not live in a well appointed mansion on the ocean but they certainly performed their job as If I did and treated me as well as they would have the higher echelon of Myrtle Beach. I was impressed in so many ways. They were on time, did not leave the job after they started and, usually when a crew is working on your home you know it. I never heard anything! It's been over a month and all is well as it was from the first day. It was a pleasure working with them and, should I need any other services I would not hesitate to use their company again. If you require HVAC services you will never go wrong with this company. I highly recommend them and, if you desire, you may contact me for a personal reference.
I have used Cooper Mechanical with numerous services they provide. They are the very best in Myrtle Beach. Not once have they disappointed me. Don’t shop around for the best cheapest deal. This company does it right. Thank you Glen and James for taking such good care of me. The two technicians couldn’t have been nicer and so professional. That’s who they hire.
