This place is a joke. Our elderly grand was taken there by EMS from a so called rehab facility that was neglecting him, he had lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks. The hospital stated we had to either take him home which could not be done, the residents are not equipped for a wheel chair or go back to the facility where he was being neglected at or leave him and be charged with abandonment. WTH. All we needed was them to admit him for a day and a half until we could get him to a good facility on Wednesday. Apparently him losing 30 lbs in 6 weeks does not qualify as a medical need for admittance. They would rather you die of neglect than try to help an elderly patient with dementia. Stay far away from this place. I never thought I would see a place worse than Trident Hospital but here we are. What a joke of a hospital. Here is the best part. They told us we could leave because they could not reach the rehab center. At 3am they called the police to go to the rehab center to reach somebody and are sending him back at 3am in the morning. Also a police report was filed when he was removed from the place he was being neglected. I think we may need to get an attorney and look into a malpractice lawsuit. This place is an abomination of a so called health care facility. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as possible. There is a special place in hell for these worthless people. The story gets even worse. Wake today and find out they lied to us worse than we thought. While we were still there they had called an ambulance and told them to wait outside while we were still there. After they told us we could leave and he would stay the night, they bring EMS in one door while we're going out another. Once we were out of the parking lot they loaded him up and had him back at the awful facility before we could even get home. Eternal hell is too good for these P.O.S. people that work there. I hope karma finds you soon.
My wife just had a procedure and had to spend a night at East Cooper Medical Center. By far one of the best experiences we have had at a Medical facility in a very long time. All the way from check-in to discharge, the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. It truly was amazing to experience this caring environment! Well done!!
