786 Johnnie Dodds Blvd b1, Mt Pleasant“I wish I could give ten stars! Liz worked a total miracle on my hair and I'm so so happy. I've been to a ridiculous amount of Charleston salons and have had some pretty disastrous color results. I had basically decided no one in this area knew how to color hair correctly. Then a coworker recommended Moxie Miller and I figured I had nothing to lose. I went in with very dark, box color-treated hair and some weird orange balyage and came out with shiny, smooth perfectly highlighted hair. Liz spent a long time "fixing" the mess I sat in her chair with and was so professional and knowledgeable. I knew right away this was going to be my salon from now on. She is wonderful at explaining each step and is very detail-oriented to do the best job possible. I am beyond thrilled with my hair and actually look forward to future appointments! This is the only salon you should be going to!“

I honestly didn't even realize that offered female cuts. Well, they do and they do an AMAZING job!! Even better than the haircut is the atmosphere and all of the local chitter chatter. Please visit this location for your ultimate Charleston feel of a haircut.“

1971 Riviera Dr #2, Mt Pleasant“I highly do recommend this barbershop. It's extremely high-quality for the price very affordable. If you don't want to read this paragraph this is shortly my advice. FIND THE RIGHT PERSON TO CUT YOUR HAIR & do you research on the barber/hairdresser and MAKE A APPOINTMENT. Now the long review. Vibes are like an old school American barbershop. I have gone there five times. Three times no complaints could be made amazing haircuts. 1 time I just thought the person who cut my hair could have spent a little more time on it. I had to go back because one side was literally longer than the other. The last time I went here and this is the only time I have not scheduled an appointment. It was truthfully the worst haircut I remember ever having at least since I was a kid. Truthfully I think great or sports clips would have done better. I have very thick curly hair and as a white man with hair like that many people do not know how to cut it (truthfully I have never met someone with the exact same texture and curls that I have a few people in my life I've met had *similar* hair, but never have I ever been able to say that person has the same hair as me). Last time I was there at the person spent maybe slightly over 10 minutes just using shears she would look over to talk to her friend while she is taking off way too much of my hair she just kept sheering away like sheep wool, cutting my hair and with curly hair, you really shouldn't just use shears. You definitely are going to want to use a good pair of scissors for a lot of the hair so that it won't break or bend your curls. This barbershop is about FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON. It's very affordable. They have so many people. You need to find your person and you'll have affordable great haircuts. I really would want to give this five stars. Because of my last haircut, I literally went somewhere else today for a haircut. I've been going to Jeff's all year. Jeffs barbershop is it good barber shop please don't base my one single bad experience to deter you not going here. I recommend just researching the person who's going to cut your hair before going. Unfortunately I have just forgotten the names of the people who gave me fantastic cuts. So that's my honest take if you find the right person you're going to be very satisfied. If you have "normal" hair typical Caucasian or typical African hair, I could not imagine you having a "bad" haircut (don't twist that my hair is just not "typical"). My hair is specific I was even told this today a while it was being cut. It is very hard to find a style for hair like mine and to also find a way to cut that style. I do strongly do recommend this place. I've gone for normal haircuts, fades, thinning, and shaves. I'm absolutely satisfied every time (as long as I research my hairdresser/barber and make an appointment not a walk in). It would really help on the website if they could put pictures of ALL the barbers and hairdressers that way, I can pick the person I know put a lot of effort into my hair and avoid the people that did not put a lot of effort in. That's just a suggestion. On the website, I think some of them have pictures. I wish they all did. Great place overall excuse my rant I wanted to give a full on opinion for future customers, if looking at reviews.“

1020 Chuck Dawley Blvd, Mt Pleasant“I have been going to Barrelli on Chuck Dawley since fall of 2024. I wish I followed my son's advice and started going sooner. Nichele was the first barber I used and I hope she never leaves! But it appears they are all well trained and great at their trade. Barrelli is in a convenient location, fairly priced, easy to book online and appointments are always on time. Nichele gives me the best haircuts I have ever had and that is after decades of cuts! I highly recommend this establishment.“

“I just moved into the area and back to the states after living in Europe for the past four years. One of the most important things for me is finding a good barber and today I did just that. Mr Mookie is not just a good barber, he is welcoming, engaging and well connected to the/his community. Very open and old school in his approach to barbering, meaning you will get more than a haircut when you sit with him. Thank you brotha for my “first day of work haircut” and I’ll be in touch and come back to see you soon.“
