I am fostering a cat who was shot in the mouth. She had eye swelling and infection from the bullet fragment in her jaw. The entire staff and doctor were AMAZING & explained everything thoroughly. I feel extremely grateful that our community has animal dental specialists that can do these tricky procedures, and do them WELL. I will bring my own personal pets here if any issues ever arise !
My cat is also still alive before of Dr. Startup. He had (am so grateful to use the past tense here) stomatitis that we'd tried everything to manage with degrading success. Dr. Startup did a great job talking us into doing a full mouth extraction - of the teeth he had left - including cleaning out any remaining dental roots. The surgery was performed in June 2017. We were able to take the cat home the same day - after we stopped at our vet for a cold laser wound treatment. We continued these treatments which I think contributed to a really rapid recovery from the surgery. The pain control meds seemed very effective. We were able to call frequently to get coaching from her kind technician. My only regret is not having done this sooner, preventing us from having done a lot of other stressful dental work and trials of supplements, etc. THANKS SO MUCH TO ANIMAL DENTAL SERVICES!!
