We love Dr Gambrell and the nurses but the front desk staff is not great and gives the wrong information. It took months of back and forth to get my son his 15 month appointment at not actually 15 months but 16-17 months. This happens quite a bit. Called today to see about switching pediatrician due to some concerns I am having about my child’s development and not getting an appointment sooner. The front desk staff /Crystal told me first I should wait until my appointment then said I need a nurse approval to switch pediatrician And fill out the form. When do you need a nurse approval to switch pediatricians? And since when can the receptionist give out medical advice about waiting until an appointment for developmental concerns? Asked to transfer to the nurse line and was hung up on. Had to call back for the 5th time this month about this appointment and was finally got in contact with a nurse. It seem a lot of the low reviews are because of appointments setting issues/receptionist and not the actual medical care.

We’re very long term patients here, many, many years. Someone answered to make my appointment and was as bluntly matter-of-fact, rushed, uncaring & rude as possible. It was a tone and she had no manners. Made me, a worried parent, feel I was inconveniencing her. How about creating a welcoming environment?

My daughter-in-law picked thin practice 13 years ago. Dr Cope is their doctor. However when he is booked tight we have seen other doctors. The staff is very helpful.

I have tried reaching the nurse about my SICK CHILD FOR THE PAST HOUR! Your rude staff hung up the phone after me being on hold for 45 mins. Afterwards I called back at 4:50 spoke to the receptionist she placed me on hold again and now you all have it going to automated messages. I called since 11:30 this morning! Upper management will hear about this you all have become so unprofessional Sandhills Pediatrics and I have been with you all for 22 years
